Lots of Changes

Since my last post, a couple of things have happened. First, my dad passed away in May. And second, I am currently recovering from a heart attack. Therefore, there have to be changes in my life. One, I have to quit smoking, which I already know is not going to be easy for me. Second, I have to change what I am eating, and eat healthier. Third, I have to reduce the stress in my life. And, fourth, I have to start excising on a regular basis. I have also managed to complete a few pieces of stitching.
First is Sassy Stitcher by Janlynn.
Second, I completed a piece that I started a long time ago, which is Angel of Light. I framed this and gave it to my dad during one of his hospital stays, and then when he was cremated, it was with him.
I also finished Two Hearts, which was supposed to be a gift for my husband last year for our anniversary and did not get finished on time.

I also stitched a Harley Davidson shield, which was donated to a poker run in order to raise money for childrens charities.
I also finished a baby sampler for a friend of mine. It is being given to her on her son's first birthday.
I was asked to stitch this for a friend of mine. It is Janlynn's Wedding Cake. It is now in her hands to get framed, and then to the bride and groom.
I also finished Cuddly Bears, which I made into a birth announcement for my former district manager.

I have also been working on my cross stitch rotation. I have taken Merry Christmas to All out of the rotation, because I needed to get different material for it. I could see to much of the white behind the stitches.
I have also sold my first piece of work. It was a design that I did myself, and was asked to stitch it for my current district manager's wife for her birthday.
That is it for now. I will do another post with my WIP's and their progress.

Update and Birthday

I worked on Moes anniversary gift "Two Hearts". I got 380 stitches out in this time.

I worked on Kati's Carousal. I put 342 stitches this time. Then I worked on Sassy Stitcher. I put 1,192.5 stitches in this time. Then I FINISHED "Waiting". Now to get it washed, ironed, and ftamed.

I also just celebrated my 50th birthday.  My husband and daughter spoiled me this year.  My husband did a cross stitch piece for me and turned it into a pin cushion for me. The material for the back was from a t-shirt that my mom had given him. Then they got me a gift card for my local LNS, Cross my Heart, a Mirabilia cross stitch pattern "Angel of the New Dawn" and the supplies to make it.

Long awaited update

Sorry that it has been so long since my last update!  I have a few pictures to show.  I have worked on Nude, Merry Christmas to All, my moms Cat in a window, Two Hearts, and Carousel.
When I worked on Nude, I discovered that I used the wrong color in a section and ended up ripping out around 800 stitches. Now I will restart it when it comes back into my rotation.

Merry Christmas to All was worked on from April 12 thru April 16, and I started it over using only one strand of thread, and put in 154 stitches.

Then I worked on Moms Cat in a Window from April 17 thru April 21 and I stitched 295 stitches!

Then I worked on Two Hearts from April 22 thru April 26, and I put in 160 stitches!

The I worked on The Carousel from April 27 thru May 1 and I put in 516.5 stitches.

Also during this time I did find out that I do not have diabetic neuropathy, but tarsal tunnel in both feet.  It is the same thing as carpal tunnel that you get in your hands.

Cuddly Bears and The Fortunate Traveller

Hi all!  I got some great news this week.  I do not have diabetic neuropathy, I have tarsal tunnel in both of my feet which is what is causing the numbness. I am doing conservative methods to fix the problem, then if that don't work, then I will look at surgery before the nerve ends up permanently damaged.
I stitched on Cuddly Bears from 3-28 till 4-1. I only put in about 100 stitches and here is what it looks like now.

Then I worked on The Fortunate Traveler from 4-2 thru 4-6 and I put in 367 stitches. The first picture is the entire thing, and the second picture is a close up of the border.

Now I am going to stitch on Nude II for 5 days. Will post a picture at the end of that time.
